I've been writing stories since I was eight, but I really caught the writing bug when I was a teen and started writing fanfiction. I was writing fanfiction even before I had the internet and knew there was a name for it.

I started out with soap opera fanfiction. Not all of these stories were finished. Some were written in my head alone. My early fanfic is gone the way of Geocities. (If you were a teen back in the 90s or early 2000s, you probably know what this is!) I uploaded them to my friend's site but never made a backup. (Writers: ALWAYS make a backup!) Even though I lost those early fanfic stories, it's okay. My early writing wasn't bad, but it wasn't great either! I don't think I even finished them anyway.

I eventually discovered fanfiction.net and found it easier to post my stories there instead of a Geocities website. And thus began many years of posting stories for my favorite shows, or more specifically, the couples I shipped.

I think some people look down on fanfic, but it's been a great way for me to hone my writing skills and build a fan base. I've played around with different POVs, tried out past and present tenses, and got a lot of practice writing novel-length stories.

If you would like to read any of my fanfiction, or are just curious about what fandoms I write for, I've included the links below.  And if you happen to find any of my old stuff on the Way Back Machine, just remember my writing has come a long way since then!
